I have been a client of Chapman Law Group A.P.C. for years. The entire staff at Chapman Law are great to work with and they always seem to exceed my expectations when it comes to working up my case. I was running into problems handling a permit issue with my HOA in San Francisco that stretched for several years. The HOA was being very unreasonable and showed no intent to resolve the issue. I searched for and met with a few lawyers through multiple sources. Due to my lengthy involvement with the HOA, most lawyers could not grasp the overall situation very clearly, and some didn't think we had a chance against our HOA. Not only did David understand the situation after only an hour-long meeting, but he had the right spunk. David provided me with several strategies and helped write several letters to the HOA. He had a knack for calling out the situation as it was and put a spin to it. After several attempts to escalate the situation, I was able to come to a reasonable compromise with the HOA. This resulted in time and money saved because we avoided litigation, which at certain points seemed inevitable. I highly appreciate David's help during this great ordeal. David has a candor that makes working with him a pleasure. His humor also diffuses the tension of the situation. I highly recommend anyone who has to deal with an irrational HOA to reach out to David.

Though I haven't acquired their services yet, this law group was very responsive and friendly. The attorney that responded was interested right away and asked for more information. When you're being wronged and you're reaching out for help, it's important to communicate the right attitude towards your potential client. Other attorneys that I have contacted on Yelp or just around town are generally short, cold, and even harsh at times. I've had lawyers insult me and even call me names while trying to discuss Facebook and censorship. The Chapman Law Group is a refreshing experience.

I recently contacted David Chapman to assist on taking on an International Airline that was being completely unresponsive and nonchalantly dismissing my claim regarding a stolen/lost piece of luggage. Within a week, David and his team were able to research that country's Law and they generated a demand letter for me that, miraculously, caused them to call me from Mexico city and apologize for the situation and returned the suitcase to me with ALL of its belongings. The manner in which he relegated the matter and was able to carried through its successful conclusion left me a believer that should I need any other legal matters in the future, I know who to call. David, you are the man!

First!!!! I want to say a little thing for all of you that will be reading my review.... "And".... are looking for a great attorney to help you with your unfortunately problems that are making you look for some much needed help, advices and support... basically... HELP!!!!! I do come from a very well known line of "great" lawyers back in my home country. My dad was a great attorney when he was still alive... very well know attorney, my lovely mother still VERY active and the head of the Lawyers Association back in my hometown with over a million people! (and yesss!!!! there is nothing that she can do for me here in the USA except with great directions and what I should do next!) 2 of my uncles were attorneys back home when alive, my younger sister also is a great attorney.... sooooo, with all my simplicity... I do know a lot about attorneys!!! 1- Don't expect to find David wearing a suit, ties, expensive shoes in "his" office... to meet you... like they do all over the world... 100 degrees weather and ties! Did not had to go to court... still, I assume that he would be well dressed if needed! 2- At his office... will be in shorts, pants, socks, very relax, and without a chair!!! they work standing up!!! that is how his office works... buuuuut!!! if you want to sit down with him and Birgit? For sure they have a place for you to sit! 3- You pay what you need to pay!!!! very simple!!!! "and" if you don't use all of his services, work??? Fairly!!!! He will give you back whatever monies he needs to give back to you.... without any "simple question" 4- Attorneys... sometimes..... want just to make money, money, money and money..... David, Birgit.... just want to help you!!!! And off course! Paid for their great services like anyone else. 5- His office and business have 5 stars!!!! I recently retained David Chapman's council to represent my interests. This was the first time I've retained an attorney for anything other than purchasing real estate or having my estate documents drafted. From beginning to end, David's advice was valuable in bringing about a very workable and satisfying resolution to a thorny situation. David and his associates are intelligent, practical and personable. David educated me on the pros and cons of litigating and, based on his advice, we decided to seek a non-litigious resolution. That decision saved me much time and mind share. I hope all attorneys encourage their clients to settle, if both possible and practical, but since litigating often means exponentially higher legal fees, I understand this isn't always the case. Clearly, David is a person who puts his clients' interests first. His office is easy to find (no need to battle traffic in and out of San Francisco) and there was always an abundance of parking. Bonus: Even the coffee he serves is yummy (important during those extended discussions). I hope I won't need him again for a very long time or, better yet, ever. In the meantime, it's reassuring to know where I can turn for top-notch legal advice if/when life throws an unexpected curveball.

I hired David after a local company threatened to report me to a credit agency for allegedly failing to pay penalties related to canceling my membership. David drafted a really strong cease and desist letter and threatened to sue the company. I am happy to say that the company did not report me to the credit agency and never bothered me after that. I recommend this lawyer and would hire him again.
